About this policy

This policy describes the data handling supported by the current Color Studio application source and supplied Store description.

Color Studio provides color picking, palette creation, image sampling, contrast checking, color comparison, and gradient editing. No account is required.

Data accessed and stored

Color Studio processes the colors you enter or select and the images you choose for sampling. It stores saved palettes, including their names, optional groups, internal identifiers, and color values. It also stores your last confirmed color, preferred copy format, and up to 100 recent confirmed color selections with their dates.

On Android, these records are stored in the app's private preferences on your device. The browser preview uses browser local storage for the same records.

When you choose an image, the app accesses that selected image through the system file chooser. It decodes and resizes the image locally for sampling and palette extraction. On some Android versions, it reads image orientation metadata to display the image correctly. The source does not show the app saving the selected original image or uploading it to the developer. The decoded image is held in memory while in use; colors derived from it can be retained in history or saved palettes.

Purposes

The app uses this information to restore your saved work and preferences, display recent colors, organize palettes, sample images, calculate color harmonies and contrast, generate gradients, and create exports. Image sampling and palette extraction run locally.

Collection, advertising, and third-party SDKs

The inspected implementation does not show transmission of your app content or usage information to developer-operated servers. It does not contain an identified advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote crash-reporting SDK, and no account or cloud synchronization feature is implemented.

The Android manifest declares Internet and advertising ID permissions. Their presence does not establish that information is transmitted or an advertising ID is accessed; no such use was identified in the inspected implementation.

The app uses Kotlin, Compose, AndroidX, and coroutine libraries to provide its interface and local processing. No third-party data collection service was identified in the inspected dependencies.

Sharing, exports, and clipboard

You can export palettes as JSON, CSS, or PNG, and gradients as CSS or PNG. These exports contain the generated color or gradient information. The inspected export code does not include the selected source image, palette names, or palette groups in these files.

On Android, Save File writes an export to the destination you choose through the system document picker. Share creates an export in the app's private cache and grants the receiving app permission to read that file through the Android sharing interface. In the browser preview, exports are downloaded; you can then share them yourself.

Copy actions place the selected color values, palette text, or gradient CSS on the system clipboard. Clipboard access is governed by your operating system or browser.

Apps, file providers, or cloud destinations you choose may process exported information under their own privacy practices. Color Studio does not control those services. No automatic sharing with advertising or analytics services was identified.

Device backup

Android backup is enabled in the app configuration. Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may include app data in a backup or restore it later. Backup handling is governed by the operating system and your backup provider.

Security

The Android implementation uses app-private preferences and cache storage. Its export provider is not publicly exported and permits access to generated files through granted read permissions. The browser preview relies on the browser's local storage protections.

The inspected code does not implement additional encryption for stored app records. Image-opening and export failures may write error details to Android's local system log; no remote log reporting was identified. No app-controlled server transmission was identified, so this draft makes no claim about encryption in transit. No storage or security measure guarantees complete protection.

Retention

Saved palettes and preferences remain locally until changed, deleted, or removed with the app's stored data. Color history retains up to 100 entries and can be cleared manually. There is no implemented time-based expiration for saved palettes or preferences.

Selected images are processed in memory rather than saved as an app image library. Temporary Android share exports may remain in the app cache until replaced, cleared by the system, or removed by clearing the cache or app data; no scheduled cleanup was identified. Files you save or share outside the app remain subject to the destination's retention practices.

Deletion and requests

You can delete individual saved palettes in the Library and clear color history from Color History or Settings. Clearing history keeps saved palettes and does not clear all preferences. Palette deletion can be undone while the relevant app session retains the deleted item.

To remove all locally stored Android app records, use your device's app storage controls to clear Color Studio's data. Clearing the cache removes cached share exports. In the browser preview, clear the site's stored data to remove locally saved records.

Deleting local app data does not delete exported files, copies held by recipients, clipboard contents, or backups. Manage those copies through the relevant device, app, destination, or backup controls.

No account-based or in-app server deletion request feature was identified. The developer cannot remotely remove records held only on your device. Privacy or deletion questions may be directed to info@satok.site.

Children's privacy

Color Studio is described as an art and design tool. The supplied information does not specify intended age groups, and the inspected app does not implement age verification or a child-specific data collection flow. No transmission of children's personal information to the developer was identified. A parent or guardian can use the local deletion controls described above and direct privacy questions to the verified privacy contact.

Changes to this policy

This policy should be updated when the app's data handling changes. Review the privacy policy provided with the version of Color Studio you use. No in-app policy-change notification mechanism was identified in the inspected implementation.
